The use of silicon sealant in the hidden frame curtain wall


Silicone sealant structure, commonly known as in the architectural decoration industry for silicone structural adhesive, is an important part of the room temperature curing (RTV) silicone rubber, at room temperature without heating, no lighting or other special conditions, can be formed as elastomer, use very convenient.
Silicone sealant structure, with high and low temperature resistance, resistance to organic silicon and other significant characteristics of climate ageing and ozone resistance, also has the many kinds of substrate adhesion is good, strong ability to resist displacement characteristics, thus become a hidden frame curtain wall of the key, is also the only structure adhesive sealing material.
Silicone structural sealant has both inside and outside architecture completely separated sealing performance, and glass and other decorative pieces can be firmly adhesive on the metal frame is an organic whole repeatedly with the building, such as glass under permanent loads  (weight),  wind load, thermal deformation and seismic action is passed on to the frame and construction main body structure. Because glass there is no other mechanical fixing device, and silicone structural sealant itself has the very good elastic deformation ability, makes the building main body and decorative glass plate is formed between elastic connection, thereby greatly reducing the earthquakes and natural disasters such as hurricane damage, this is a very significant advantages of hidden frame curtain wall. Therefore, the quality and use of silicone structure sealant plays an important role in the security of the curtain wall.
Organic silicon sealant can be divided into single component (RTV - 1) and bi-component (RTV - 2) according to the packaging method. The single group of silicone structure sealant is mainly used for small curtain wall and site construction, while the two-component silicone structure sealant is mainly used for large curtain wall construction.
